Richard Gere was born on August 31, 1949 in Philadelphia. He is
as active as a Humanitarian as he is an actor. He started early as a
musician, he used to play a number of musical instruments in his school
and wrote music for his high school productions. He joined a college but
left it to pursue a career in acting. His first recognition in movies
