TOP 10 SMARTPHONES IN USA

To drill down to a list of our 10 favorites in the US this year, we based the updated rankings on a lot of geeked-out factors: design, performance, battery life, camera quality and software updates.

The V10 is also sporting dual front-facing 5MP cameras, which LG says lets you take better wide angle selfies at up to 120 degrees. The rear camera comes in at 16MP f1.8, and includes OIS and wind noise filtering. The heart of the V10 holds a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (expandable to 2TB), NFC, fingerprint sensor and a 3000mAh removable battery. Around back you'll find the same great 16MP camera.Naturally the Note 5 has an S Pen still, but the new version has improved hardware and software to reduce input latency. It stores completely inside the phone as well, with a neat clicking button to remove it. On the software front, Air Command has a new interface and there are a handful of new S Pen features that make it easier to make notes, annotate PDFs and capture large scrolling screenshots. Breaking from its design scheme of the last few years, LG is going with a more traditional side button placement on the G5, rather than the back-mounted volume buttons we’ve almost gotten used to. The G5 also had various modular attachments that work by actually removing the lower portion of the phone.

It’s rounded out with a 3,000mAh battery, QuickCharge 3.0 and a new BoomSound Hi-Fi system consisting of a front-facing speaker and bottom-facing subwoofer.
